Common questions and concerns
1) Q: What are your qualifications?
A: At a minimum, our trainers are certified as personal trainers. Some hold additional certifications such as group instructors, or specialties. Certifications will happily be presented upon request. Additionally, our mental health professionals have earned a masters degree and their required state license.2) Q: Can you work with someone my age?
A: Yes. We have experience working with kids 12yrs. old involved in sport activities, to adults that have never exercised in their life to senior citizens.3) Q: What equipment will I need when meeting with a trainer?
A: If you already have equipment the trainer will happily incorporate it as needed in your workout program. The only equipment we expect you to have are running shoes or cross training shoes, the proper attire (no revealing attire), and an open mind to learning how to execute exercises in a proper, and efficient manner. A positive outlook, and desire to challenge youself helps a lot too.4) Q: How long do I have to commit to?
A: There is no required length of time to commit to. But rather, we are committed to helping you achieve your goal(s).5) Q: Are you going to yell at me?
A: No. We are not want-to-be drill instructors. We motivate without practicing fear tactics.6) Q: Can I still workout with my medical condition or injury?
A: This will be determined based upon two things. 1) That you have medical clearance. 2) An assessment will be conducted to gauge the ability to proceed with exercise.Note: Please be aware that we are not physicians. We are not qualified to diagnose any medical condition. However, based on past experience working with individuals with medical conditions, we are familiar with certain symptoms. Having this knowledge, when we encounter someone with any familiar symptoms, we will exercise our right to refuse training until medical clearance is given in writing.*
